Last Thursday, we had the exciting opportunity to visit the Red Bull Formula 1 Factory in Milton Keynes, attending the latest Datto and Kaseya Connect Local event. The setting couldn’t have been more spectacular, with a backdrop of both recent and historic Red Bull racing cars on display. We were able to dive into Red Bull’s Formula 1 legacy while also gaining valuable insights into Kaseya’s vision and future roadmap for businesses.
The event was packed with information, especially from Kaseya, where they unveiled many of their current and upcoming product offerings. It was fascinating to see how their product stack is evolving to meet the demands of modern business challenges. With both Kaseya and Datto being two of our key suppliers, staying up to date with their developments is essential to ensure we’re maximising the value we provide to our customers.
What improvements and products were discussed?
Kaseya presented a compelling strategy focused on creating a unified, all-in-one solution with deep integrations across its product stack. Their aim is to simplify management, reduce costs, and increase efficiency for businesses. By leveraging these integrations, it will enable our team to respond to incidents faster, solve customer issues more effectively, and handle more cases without needing to expand our staff.
A standout topic was security. One of the most critical services we offer our customers is a robust security solution, and we’re constantly working to enhance it. Over the past six months, we’ve been exploring the possibility of moving key aspects of this solution to Kaseya’s platform. The reasoning is simple: a fully integrated product stack not only boosts our responsiveness but also delivers a more effective and comprehensive security solution for our clients.
What adjustments will we be making?
Kaseya’s vision aligns closely with our goals, particularly when it comes to addressing the growing demand for advanced security products like Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). Over the last two years, EDR has become increasingly vital for businesses, driven largely by cyber insurance requirements. Insurance providers are now mandating the implementation of EDR for full coverage, reflecting the serious stance the global market is taking on cybersecurity. This heightened focus is further underscored by incidents such as the CrowdStrike outage and the rising frequency of both social and technical attacks on organisations.
To adapt to these demands, we are planning to integrate our Antivirus (AV) and EDR products into a single solution. This integration will significantly enhance threat detection and response capabilities across the organisations we support, offering a more efficient and streamlined approach to security management.
Additionally, with upcoming Cyber Essentials (CE) requirements, we’ve seen an increasing demand for Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. MDM is crucial for businesses aiming to maintain CE compliance, particularly in managing product and OS updates within the 14-day rollout window. Though platforms like Apple pose certain challenges in this regard, Kaseya’s offerings make it possible to provide a comprehensive, aligned security solution for mobile devices with minimal impact on the end user.
Looking Forward
In summary, Kaseya’s direction and product developments present an exciting opportunity for us to improve the services we offer. By adopting their integrated solutions, we can not only enhance our security offering but also provide a more seamless experience for our customers. We look forward to implementing these changes and continuing to deliver best-in-class solutions to meet the evolving needs of the businesses we support.
